Membership to Aurora Field Archery Club is available to National Field Archery Society (NFAS) members* who are also willing to, wherever possible, contribute to the setting up and running of our one, two day shoots.

These duties may involve assisting the course officer with setting out the courses, assisting the catering team, marshalling during the shoots and clearing away at the end of the shoots.

Non-NFAS members will be required to undertake NFAS specific archery training in the safety rules and etiquette to enable the applicant to be signed off as safe to satisfy the conditions of membership of the NFAS.

Members may use the “Aurora” name when booking open shoots and National competitions, may wear the club logo and will have automatic entry to our regular club days at the woodland.

*(Not applicable for associate membership)

Coaching is available to all those able to hold and draw back a bow.  There is no specific age limit, however 10 years old is a suitable age to start.

Student archers are invited to a "have a go' session inner indoor facility, before signing up to the course.

All equipment is provided as we do not recommend anyone buy equipment until they have had completed the course and had advice on what are where to buy.

Once a student has completed the required number of coaching hours and passed a written test, they can be signed off as safe and will be able to apply to join the NFAS.

Please contact us for prices of coaching.
